LIFE in Tenuous Times

My first thought today is, "How are you doing?" I know many of you have joined me in some deep conversations with amazing people like Pam Tebow, Dr. William Lile, Kristen Hawkins, Dr. Don Litchi and so many more. And while I can ask our radio guests how they are doing, I want this communication to be about YOU, the friend listening in.  So very grateful that you have joined in to hear, to heal, to howl (yes, we laugh a lot!) and to help.

So, today, let's talk about YOU.  I know you have a story, because you have been born.  You've navigated the day-to-day of this earthly life, and I believe you've given great thought to your purpose in this noisy world. Knowing you the way I do, you have tremendous purpose.

I can hear you thinking, "How does she know me?  Why would she say I have purpose?"  Those questions and many more are revealed in the Bible, words spoken by people who wondered the same things you and I are musing about right now.

So give that some thought. As we open the Bible we meet our Creator who shows us what?  God shows us design and details and discovery and purpose and uniqueness, all the while He is walking us through His creation.  And His biggest reveal is human life with the incredible gift of choice. We can choose to love God or push away from Him. We can choose to speak kindness or throw cruel words in anger. We can choose to do life alone or become part of a community--family.

Imagine being the first two humans--just a little pressure, yes?  But two people, male and female, designed to procreate and love and obey the one law given by God--stay away from that tree of knowledge of good and evil! Don't eat from that tree. If you get time today, go back and slowly read through that fabulous Genesis account of the beginning.  Count the gifts God gave to His greatest creation--man and woman.

Of course you know, Adam and Eve blew it. No spoiler there! And sin became our everyday temptation, and God through Christ Jesus became our everyday redemption.  Yes, this is a quick and hopefully simple telling of this story so you and I can touch the message of life I'm sharing with you today.  You are God's creation.  You have unique gifts and capabilities, and You can influence others with the understanding of GRACE. You have been bought and paid for by the sacrifice of God's Son, Jesus Christ, who hung on the cross for You  ...and for me ...WOW!

So what's your story?  I am asking you today to respond to this questions with a letter or an email or a post on this website ChooseLifeRadio.com.  In these times of "lock up" and sequestering, I need people!  So talk to me...let me hear your stories.  Allow me to pray for you.  Write to me....please! And here's to discovering how we can each use the amazing gifts God has placed within us.

Email me at Jill@ChooseLifeRadio.com.  Or write to Choose Life Radio, P.O.Box 36622, Canton, OH 44735. Hey, I'm listening!

A Courageous Exit from a Place of Death

A Courageous Exit from a Place of Death May 20, 2020 —highlights of  the interview with Abby Johnson             When you want to talk with someone who is extremely busy, you typically start with an assistant who handles the scheduling.  Reaching that person can be a huge obstacle race, but I got very lucky with Abby.             Attending a large LIFE event in Washington, D.C., my husband and I were blessed to set up our booth in a prime location.  Our Board of Directors had encouraged us to become a significant $5,000 sponsor of the Pro-Life Summit being hosted by Students for Life, an organization that carries tremendous respect for the quality of work they do to protect and educate on life.             So, we wrote the check, spent another couple of thousand dollars to get a lot of exciting ...

Happy Mother’s Day!

What a time to celebrate life.  Young moms actually carrying life in the womb feel bumps and turns as the baby moves and grows.  Moms chasing toddlers are wishing for more stamina at night when it’s time to pick up the toys and fold the laundry.  Moms who have no children look for opportunities to babysit and help others, and often they are found in the nurseries of churches holding crying babies with compassionate hearts and aching arms. Motherhood is a gift.  This very first blog is the beginning of my opportunity to share thoughts and scripture and local news with my good friends, our listeners at Choose Life Radio.  Welcome aboard, dear friends. I want to share one thing today.  Something we must be aware of. Something John Stonestreet, our guest on the radio, shared with us May 8th on Breakpoint.  It is about surrogate mothers providing babies for gay couples, in this case, Anderson Cooper and his homos...
